This is a first for me (on this blog) I was asked to review a movie before release.  Given that opportunity is awesome, I found him posted on FB and offered up my blog, he said yes and I got movie prior to being complete, but I must say I am honored.  This film was Revisiting Melancholie der Engel a documentary about the filming of Angels Melancholy by Marian Dora and the hell it was for everybody during filming.  Magnus Blomdahl went back with the director to actual sites of filming and what happened that he quit directing because of the torture it was.  This is a foreign language film with subtitles, I must say I enjoyed it thoroughly.  Enthralled from the beginning I couldn't stop watching it, and for the second time, in my life, I was dreaming about the movie the same night and kept asking why?  I was questioning a lot of issues I had with the production squad and why they did some things.  But as a film it was a superb film and the way it was captivating with the scenery and the stories the director told, were enthralling a solid 9 out of ten.

Special Thanks to Magnus Blomdahl for the opportunity.

Anyone with films to review I would be more than happy to review and post here for others to enjoy.

This is a review of my Box Of Dread, I won, disappointed is my best description.  I got 4 items a 2 small posters from Trick R Treat, counted as one, a Walking Dead Riot Gear Glenn from McFarlane toys, and The Ash vs. Evil Dead Election Special comic signed with COA, and a Vampirella mousepad.  But overall I expected more and for 20+shipping per box..........blah.
The next up is American Maniacs a heartland massacre, well it looked good but I was surely disappointed.  It was very slow and bored me to death.  I heard good things about it so I figured I needed it, was I ever wrong.  It was about disappearing women around a desolate middle America.  It had potential but suffered greatly from expectations.  It was cut-n-dry exactly what you figured by the numbers horror film.  would offer a 3 of 10.
This anthology is The Theatre Bizarre which contains 7 different stories, was highly impressed.  The surround story was awesome and several of the shorts were highly successful.  I can't pick just one they were all great, top notch acting.  The effects were amazing.  I don't want to say much except buy it, rent it, or watch it.  You won't be disappointed I give it a 9 of 10 cause 1 story might not be as great as the rest.
I have been running behind but have films, in the tank (so to say), I have seen Scott Schrimer's Found which I would say is a prequel to Headless.  It was very interesting story of missing people in small town America.  It revolves around what one younger sibling finds in his brother's closet, but no one believes him cause evidence seems to disappear.  And he rebels against his parents and everybody thinks he is a rotten apple.  Filled with blood and violence of course this is a slow-burner but payoff is well worth. Would give it a solid 8 of 10.

This review is of Headless produced Scott Schirmer, and includes Brian K. Williams and Ellie Churh it was an gorefest.  If your interested in blood, and guts, with plenty of gore with practical effects.  It was very interesting story with top-notch acting, i was really impressed.  The characters very deep and filled with finding themselves through a rough childhood.  Making up things as they went along, trying to find a path that best suited them.  I am trying to make it sound great without giving much away...........i would give it a solid 9.  The effects are truly realistic and bloody good.

This will be my first review of the day have about 3-4 to do, I have decided to start with The Houses that October Built, I was not impressed kinda bored actually and disappointed with the end.  I was impressed with the acting, for the low budget it had the acting was good.  The story itself was decent but the way it unfolded was slow and I only kept up with it through the good reviews I have heard about it.  That why opinions I take with a grain of salt.  It was about a group of young folks deciding to find the scariest haunted house in the land.  During one week they visited a different house each night looking for the secret house that you need a special password to get into and it moves location every year.  Would only go with a 4 out of 10 simply for my love of haunted houses.
